Camõedio Live Show Reflections

Wednesday 28 November 2012
Camõedio Live Show Reflections

In November, we held our first Live Camõedio show of 2012. Three DJs were chosen – DJ Swagger, DJ Bieber and DJ Abbs.

The premise of the show was ‘song dedications’ where the whole school was invited to choose a song and dedicate it to someone they want to show appreciation to, for example their friend or teacher. Many requests were received in the days leading up to the live show and ten songs were chosen.

Finally, the day of the live show arrived and the DJs hurriedly ate their lunch before being ready by the microphone as the show went on air. They admitted that they were nervous but they knew they had rehearsed the script many times and knew exactly what they were doing.

As they were counted in, the Camõedio jingle faded out, DJ Swagger read his lines strongly and clearly, followed by DJ Bieber reading with great enthusiasm and DJ Abby interjecting in a lively way. The first song was played and the DJs breathed a sigh of relief. As the show went on and the songs progressed, the DJs relaxed and danced freely (unaware that the camera was broadcasting the images live to the classrooms).
The final song and climax of the show was Gangnam Style by Psy. It was hugely well received by the students in all the classrooms and the show ended on a highpoint.

The show seemed to be over in a second and the DJs reported that they were pleased with their performance and they had found the whole experience very exciting and rewarding. (Miss Crabtree)

Chinese Documentary Festival 2012: Money and Honey

Chinese Documentary Festival 2012: Money and Honey (<--Click here for more information about the documentary)

CampusTV with Director Jasmine LEE
